Despite the rain, hundreds of people gathered on September 24th for the 13th Annual STOP For Nikhil event to commemorate the lives lost in traffic crashes and promote traffic safety awareness.
This event brought together community members, safety advocates, law enforcement agencies and families affected by traffic crashes with a shared mission of emphasizing the importance of safe driving. The event raised $46,000 that will be directed towards programs committed to preventing traffic fatalities and nurturing the academic and musical talents of children.
NJBWC is very proud to have supported this event. We are working with the event’s creator, The Nikhil Badliani Foundation, to pass the Target Zero Commission Bill this fall. The bill aims to launch statewide action to reach the goal of zero traffic deaths in NJ.
